Reputable window companies are always looking for ways to improve their products and meet the ever-changing needs and preferences of homeowners. Renewal by Andersen® is proud to be leading the charge of innovation with the development of our groundbreaking composite frame material: Fibrex®.
Fibrex is an eco-friendly composite material that provides unparalleled durability, insulation and energy efficiency, without compromising aesthetics.
Fibrex is composed of recycled wood fibers from Andersen factories and composite materials. The end product makes for durable and high performing replacement windows.
Fibrex windows are made of about 60% polymer and 40% wood fiber. The wood fibers are heated up to remove moisture. Then, the polymer is also heated up before the wood fibers are combined with it. When the wood fiber and polymer are combined, a new compound is formed. Then the window frames are created using an extruder. These windows are available in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and color options.
Benefits of Fibrex Windows
Fibrex frames provide long-lasting performance, durability and energy efficiency. As an added bonus, Fibrex is extremely low maintenance, making it an appealing option when compared to materials like wood that require frequent repainting. Here are some other benefits of investing in a Fibrex window replacement:
